Open Horizon · A4 PDF
Altitude and azimuth on light paper. Uses less dark ink.
Open Atlas · A4 PDFThe horizon, calculated.
179 bright HYG stars, Sun, Moon and five naked-eye planets, calculated with Astronomy Engine. Dates 2000–2050. North at the top, east to the left, as when looking up. Only objects above the geometric horizon are drawn. Atlas uses azimuth 0–360° horizontally and altitude 0–90° vertically.
This is a chart, not a photograph or a visibility forecast. No atmospheric refraction, weather, terrain or light pollution. Daylight stars remain plotted; a sun-altitude notice identifies daylight. Ambiguous or nonexistent daylight-saving times are rejected; choose an explicit UTC offset. No astrological interpretation.
Technical gate: 27 scenarios, 382 positions, maximum error 0.009399° in tested positions. HYG v4.1 · CC BY-SA 4.0, adapted catalogue · Licenses & precision limits
The tested precision is not a universal guarantee. Star aberration, parallax and radial motion are not modeled. Personal date and coordinates never enter a share URL, analytics, card metadata or our server.
